E-Ballistics

The E-ballistics software is written in MATLAB.

In order to be able to run the software on your computer, please follow the instructions :

1. Verify the MATLAB Compiler Runtime (MCR) version 7.11 is installed on your computer.

   If you do not have the correct MCR installed on your machine :

   A. Download MCRInstaller 7.11 to your computer (large file : 174 Mb)

   B. Run the MCRInstaller program and follow the instructions.

2. Download the E-Ballistics software and some related files.

   The software and the related software files can be found here.

    A. Make sure to download all the files and put them in a single directory on your computer.

    B. The download does not start automatically; you must download all files manually.

3. Run the E-Ballistics software.

    A. Depending upon your machine, it may take up to one ore two minutes before the software actually runs (in Windows, an empty DOS windows opens upon running the software and it seems as if nothing happens ... After Max one or two minutes, you will see that E-Ballistics is running).

    B. If Matlab generates an error saying that a certain dll file is missing, please make sure that the MCR directory is added to the system path specified by your computer’s environment variable.

       For Windows, add the following pathname to the PATH environment variable: <mcr_root>\v711\runtime\win32

       You can do this by doing the following:

           * Select the My Computer icon on your desktop.

           * Right-click the icon and select Properties from the menu.

           * Select the Advanced tab.

           * Click Environment Variables.

            Note : <mcr_root> is the directory where MCR is installed on your computer (if you have not specified yourself the location where the MCR must be installed, then <mcr_root> is probably c:\Program Files\MATLAB\MATLAB Compiler Runtime).
